Jacksonville Symphony: Fanfare! OPENING NIGHT

The season will open with Music Director Courtney Lewis taking the podium, with guest saxophonist Branford Marsalis. The three-time GRAMMY winner will perform Villa-Lobos’ Fantasia for Saxophone, which the Allentown Morning Call hailed a “stunning performance…Marsalis was an absolute joy to hear”. The Tony award nominee will also perform John Williams’ Escapades for Saxophone from Catch Me If You Can and the Symphony will perform Berlioz’s Overture to Béatrice et Bénédict and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4.
