April 5 | 11 a.m: Rachmaninoff’s hauntingly beautiful Symphony No. 2 is filled with the hallmark romance that made the composer famous, along with themes of hope and redemption. The Russian’s largest work takes the listener from a dark and brooding introduction, through meditative religiosity, to a destination of triumph over darkness.

April 5 - 6 | 8:00 p.m: A program with optimism coursing through the notes, this program begins with the Jacksonville Symphony’s commission and world premiere of Courtney Bryan’s Ten Bridges. Jennifer Koh makes her Jacksonville debut with Szymanowski’s Second Violin Concerto, a piece filled with triumph and joy. Rachmaninoff’s hauntingly beautiful Symphony No.2 contains themes of hope, redemption and the hallmark romance that made the composer famous.
